You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. This position is open to anyone who would work remotely in the U.S. The preferred location for this position is a hybrid work schedule in the Fort Washington, PA office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, maintain, enhance actuarial filing models to improve the accuracy and efficiency of Medicare Supplement rate filings
- Work with signing actuaries to complete rate filings in required timeline including filing exhibits and reviews for completeness, accuracy and reasonability
- Works with detailed claim, premium and membership data from various sources in supporting rate filing activities
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and gap closure and support implementing those process improvements
- Assist in developing analytics that support ongoing and new advocacy efforts related to regulatory filings
- Other rate filing related projects such as CS&S (customer inquiries response) and Annual Rate Notification

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- On the Actuarial exam track, having passed 2 or more Actuarial exams
- 3+ years of actuarial experience collecting, analyzing and summarizing qualitative/quantitative data
- Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with Excel
- Proven clear communication skills, particularly in conveying complex topics to non-expert audiences
- Proven critical thinking skills that allow you to push through the data and find effective solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with healthcare / claim data
- Basic or higher level of proficiency with SAS (Statistical Analysis System) and/or SQL (Structured Query Language)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
