Nurse Practitioner | Primary Care | Contract New

GHR Search is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a 13-26 week contract in the Fairview, NY area for is an outpatient primary care clinic. Pay Range $75-$85/hr, based on experience. Weekly pay and full medical benefits available on contract. Stipend available for travelers.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic complaints related to specialty and according to written standardized practices/procedures/policies.
• Obtain complete or interval medical histories and conduct appropriate clinical examinations based on history/complaint and interpretation/management of normal and abnormal findings.
• Perform/Order and/or evaluate diagnostic studies as indicated based on obtained medical history and clinical examination.
• Order/Prescribe/Dispense medications according to written standardized practices/procedures/policies and acquire counter-signature from supervising physician on designated medications.
• Perform designated office procedures/diagnostic studies after appropriate competency verified and in agreement with written standardized practices/procedures/policies.
• Perform duties requiring comprehensive, skilled and safe nursing care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses and with varying degrees of illness and full range of complexity, including age specific recommendations.
• Serve as integral part of clinic health care team.
• Be an effective member of the clinic health care team in terms of providing comprehensive patient and family health education.
• Participate in and plan for health education training for the community.
• Communicate and interact with patients, families, staff and members of the community from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure and current Nurse Practitioner Certification in accordance with the State of New York requirements.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited nursing organization (i.e., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners - AANP or American Nurses Credentialing Center - ANCC).
• Demonstrated ability to function both independently and in collaboration with other health care professionals.
